Tim Young, President /CEO of Reno Philharmonic, and Laura Jackson, Reno Philharmonic's musical director, will introduce our music guest: composer Sean Shepard. "An exciting composer of the new American generation, Sean Shepherd has quickly gained admiration and return engagements with major ensembles and performers across the US and Europe.(New York Times)” Originally from Reno, Nevada, Shepherd (b.1979) holds degrees in composition and bassoon performance from Indiana University. Graduate studies include a Master’s degree from The Juilliard School and a Doctor of Musical Arts earned at Cornell University.
Refreshments include assorted teas, turkey mini wraps, homemade cookies provided by the events committee, and chocolate.
