- President Ralph Jaeck reported that the summer catalog of classes is on schedule, and should be in mailboxes by mid-May.
- The Senior Outreach Services program has requested the use of OLLI's AV equipment for presentations in Laxalt Auditorium on May 19 and May 25.
- The Tours and Travel committee, under the leadership of Connie Douglas, is doing a commendable job and successfully using Patty’s Tours for some of their outings.
- Ralph discussed preparations necessary to deal with possible sale of Nelson Building: past president Warren Ronsheimer, Historian June Kelly and member Frank Partlow will work with Ralph to keep members informed in order to protect our interests.
- Jodi Herzik is now our UNR liaison. Shera Alberti-Annunzio is being assigned to work on other tasks in Extended Studies. Appreciation for the many great contributions which Shera has made to OLLI for many years was expressed.
- Fred Holman, Vice Provost of Extended Studies, stated that new medical programs will be moving to the Redfield campus in the next year with an impact to space and parking there. He assured us that UNR will continue to consider our needs.
- The board agreed that there should be no increase in membership dues at this time.
- Ralph Jaeck will pursue an interest by the UNR Retired Faculty Association to work with OLLI. He will develop a Memo of Understanding for our consideration.
- The Board of Directors invites OLLI members to attend monthly board meetings in order to understand the issues being dealt with by the Board and how the Board works in the interests of the OLLI membership.
