You may have already seen news reports that UNR and the
Cathexis have reached agreement on the sale of the Nelson Building for the 2nd Street Development project. The
sales agreement will be presented to the University Regents at their Dec 1
meeting and we expect it will be approved.
Your Olli Board
has already been working with President Johnson and the University on finding a new
home for OLLI. I am confident that we will be successful and move forward with a
facility that will meet both current and future OLLI needs re classroom space, accessibility, and
parking.
If the
sale proceeds as we think it will, Warren Ronsheimer and I will visit as many
OLLI classes as we can to update you and answer questions.
