Nearby Plumas County, California, is a tourer's delight, with scenic and historic treats galore. We will visit the Portola Train Museum where you will have the chance to sit in the cab of the largest diesel locomotive and climb aboard the California Zephyr passenger cars. Lunchtime will find us at the Nakoma Resort, in the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Wigwam Room. And end the day with a visit to historic Graeagle, the little lumber and logging town whose former company housing now holds fun little shops and cafes.
