We hope you are enjoying the new OLLI Spring Catalog and finding lots of classes, Interest Groups, Tours and Special Events that excite you.
Just a few announcements as we start the new semester:
- Many, many thanks to all who contributed to our hugely successful Fall Fund Raising Campaign for improvements to the new Lecture Hall. Including our very generous $20,000 in matching funds, we have now raised more than $54,000 in contributions from over 300 members! Absolutely wonderful!
- As we continue to make improvements to our Moana facility, please cooperate by keeping it clean, tidy and welcoming. The Board continues to explore ways to make our new home even better and we welcome your comments and suggestions.
- IMPORTANT REQUEST: Aside from being sure to clean up after yourself in classrooms and meeting rooms, PLEASE, if you are able to walk just a bit farther, park in the lot on Grant Street behind the Fire House and leave the spaces in front of the building for our many members who are handicapped or who have limited mobility. It’s just good OLLI Etiquette -- Thanks so much!
- Do you have a friend who might be interested in OLLI? Bring them to our Spring ORIENTATION AND OLLI EXPO DAY at the Moana Building, Monday, Feb 5, at 10am to learn more about our Spring classes, interest groups, tours, and opportunities to volunteer.
- And finally, I will be holding regular Office Hours this semester to make it easier for members who would like to drop in and chat. If you have concerns, suggestions, criticisms, or kudos you would like to share, please come in and see me. The schedule will be posted near the Board Office door.
I hope to see you at OLLI very soon,
Lynne E. Gray, Ph.D.,
President, OLLI at UNR
